Hello friends, if you are following us continuously, you already read some gadget reviews here. But for a while, we weren’t posting any.
But this time, we are back with a cool midrange phone which fits your wallet and usage as well. It is none other than M330 manufactured by an American based company called Infocus. I think you wrinkled eyebrows, right?
But bear in mind that every brand passed through their infancy. Infocus just stepped their feet on India. So, don’t judge the quality by means of the brand name.
Let us check how they managed to make their phone well.
The design is a significant thing when it comes to phones, especially for those who want to show off their smartphones.
The first impression itself will seem to be great for you because this phone is elegantly designed. The back is mat-finished. And it has a 5.5 inch 720p display with three capacitive buttons on the bottom and a front- facing camera on top. A metal lining on the edges makes it looks more attractive.
You can choose from two colour variants (white and black). There is a 3.5 mm audio jack on the top edge and a micro- USB + charging port on the bottom edge. Volume rocker on the right edge doesn’t give much tactile feedback.
The back has nothing more except a primary shooter, speaker, and Infocus branding.
This phone has a dimension of about 153.40 x 78.10 x 9.30 mm. Infocus did a fabulous job in making this phone as a lightweight one. It has only 167 grams of weight. I don’t think it’s too heavy.
So as a whole, you are getting a perfect package under a decent price when we consider the design and form factor. Infocus has made their debut in a manner for which their customers never complain about.
It’s time to explore features.
Every time, I write about the features of a smartphone, I give preference to its processor first. It is the brain. So, we have to consider it first.
Infocus has a MediaTek MT6592 octa core processor cloaked at 1.7 GHz. MediaTek can compete with Snapdragon these days. And some cool processors from MT have outclassed the latter also.
It has a 2 GB of RAM. An octacore processor with 2 GB of RAM can certainly do wonder. M330 proved that it can manage multitasks pretty well.
It has a 5.5 inch IPS display with a 720p resolution and it is protected by corning gorilla glass. The pixel density is 267 ppi. It is decent enough for your usage.
This phone supports dual SIM feature. The primary SIM can be 3G. But secondary port supports 2 G only. It is a bit weird as we can grab 4G supported phones with the same price tag.
The internal memory is 16 GB, out of which about 12 GB is available to the user. If you want to make your phone a heavy storage device, just buy a 64 GB memory card. Infocus M330 allows us to expand its memory up to 64 GB.
Talking about the camera, it has a surprise 13 MP rear and 8 MP front cameras. The camera interface is simple and won’t confuse you. Infocus used Sony’s Exmor R technology in this phone. Though, the low- light performance of both the cameras is not up to the mark as we find those noisy. (see the price section). There is a “beauty mode” for taking pics with the front camera. It is found that this technology can enhance your selfies.
This one of course, is power packed with Android. But you have to be disappointed a bit because it has no stock Android. Infocus M330 has Android 4.4 kitkat with a minimalist UI on top of it called ‘InLife’.
Having an octa core processor and a 2 Gigs of RAM, this phone is not disappointing in terms of performance. You may think that the powerfulness is present only on the papers. But it is not.
InFocus M330 performs really well and you won’t find this works like a snail at all.
The company never included any bloatware in this phone. So you will get maximum RAM with least background processes.
How does M330 suck with a robust battery of 3100 mAh?
Battery life is quite decent. If you are a busy person who uses the phone daily, InFocus will be a great asset for you. It won’t sleep at once.
Price and Availability
With a cool prize of Rs. 9999, it is available on all the major e-commerce sites.
Clearly, the device is not overpriced. That’s why this phone got such an exposure irrespective of the least brand recognition of InFocus.

Should You Buy InFocus M330?
Yes. Why not!!
Considering all the facts about M330, I would say that InFocus did/ does/ will not disappoint their customers.
If you are looking for a classy device under 10k with decent specs and performance, you can’t just avoid M330.
Considering its amazing features, we can ignore some of the minor flaws like lack of 4G support etc. InFocus has done a fabulous job, I must say. They grew from an unknown brand to a recognizable one with awesome affordable devices.
Don’t hesitate to buy this phone if you are not starving for 4 G connection. You know that not every region in India has got 3 G connections also.
Go and get it.
